When the Philadelphia Eagles took Jaire Alexander from the Baltimore Ravens in November 2025, it was not only a roster change—it was a sign of the possible turning point in the recovery and re-emergence of one of the NFL's most gifted cornerbacks. We will look at Alexander's journey through the trade, the reasons for it and his role in the Eagles' playoffs push.

Birth and Dormitory life

Jaire Alexander was born on February 9, 1997. He was a member of the University of Louisville football team from 2015 to 2017. During his stay there, he showed excellent defensive skills—77 total tackles, 7 interceptions over the 3 years he played—and quit college to apply for the 2018 NFL Draft.

Second-team All-Pro twice (same years)

Achieved a Pro Football Focus grade of 90.5 in 2020—the only cornerback with a grade of above 90 that year.
